Trades Made Easy / Electrical
Now accepting beta testers Electrical Made EasyElectrical business software for quotes, permits and panel schedules.
Electrical business software quotes the panel or EV charger, keeps the permit and inspection on the job, and invoices from the panel. The permit number, the inspection date and the panel schedule stop living in a note or a spreadsheet. The app fills the job price from your own service list, and every starter price is editable.

Where electrical work breaks
Summed up from public reviews and owner forums, October 2026.
The permit lives outside the job file
The permit number, the inspection date and the result sit in a note, an email or a group text.
The panel schedule is a spreadsheet
Every panel change needs a clean label, and the circuit directory is rebuilt by hand.
Pricing is hard to see
Owners ask how to track whether a quoted price is actually working.
Documentation eats the evening
Job recaps, change orders and photos take time that could go to the next call.
What do electricians say, and what changed?
Each card starts with a public owner question, then the feature that answers it. We only list the features that are built.
Owner words: "Anyone else wish they could just talk through a job recap instead of typing it?"
Say it, once per form
Talk through the recap, check every field and save. The words start the note and you keep the last word.
Owner words: "Foremen and GFs, how do you actually handle documentation and change orders on a job?"
Permit, documents and e-sign
Keep the permit, the photos and a signed change order on the job, so the paperwork is in one place when the inspector or the builder asks.
Owner words: "How do you guys track whether your pricing is actually working?"
Your electrical service list
Set your starter prices once, then quote from that list. Every quote uses your number, so you can see what worked.
How does an electrical job go from the first call to paid?
Add or import your clients
Type in a homeowner, builder or property manager, or bring your list from a CSV with each address and next visit.
Quote from your own service list
Pick the panel upgrade, EV charger, outlet or repair, and the starter price fills in. Change it before you save. United States and Canada prices are separate where the research has both.
Keep the permit on the job
Record the permit number, the authority, the inspection date and the result on the job, next to the photos and notes.
Finish, label and invoice
Tick the job checklist, build the circuit directory, save the panel schedule as a PDF and send the invoice from the same screen.
What is in Electrical Made Easy?
These features are built and in testing. Electrical Made Easy is not open yet.
Electrical service list
Nineteen services with a price unit and a starter price, including panel upgrades, EV chargers, outlets, lighting, rewiring, generators and inspections. United States and Canada are separate columns where the research has both. Every default is editable.
Flat rate quote from the list
Pick a service from your list to fill the job price, then change it. A panel upgrade or an EV charger is sold on options, not hourly math.
Permit and inspection tracker
Permit number, authority, status, submitted date, inspection date, result and certificate of acceptance number stay on the job.
Panel schedule and circuit directory
Panel make, model, bus rating, main breaker, voltage, phase and location, with a labelled row for every circuit. Save a clear PDF to hand over.
Circuit readings
Voltage at the main, voltage at the device, voltage drop, continuity, ground impedance and amp draw, kept with the panel record.
Job checklists
Panel upgrade, EV charger, device or lighting install, troubleshooting, rough-in and safety inspection. The panel checklist is the default.
Recurring electrical visits
One time, weekly, every 2 weeks, every 3 or 4 weeks or monthly. The series keeps the next service call in place, and a skipped visit does not break it.
Calendar feed
Subscribe to your service calls in Apple, Google or Outlook calendar, and add any visit with one tap.
Quotes and quote links
Send a quote the client can open and accept, and keep every version on the job.
Branded invoices with status
Your logo and colour on every invoice, with sent, viewed and paid shown for each one.
Interac e-Transfer
Clients pay by Interac e-Transfer, and you see when they open the invoice.
Tax for your province
Tax is added from your province and shown on every quote and invoice.
One invoice per month
Bill every visit this month for a weekly or every 2 weeks client on one invoice.
Due dates and late fees
Set an invoice due on receipt or in 7, 14 or 30 days, and turn on a late fee if you want one.
Payment reminders
Friendly reminders for unpaid invoices, on to start and off with one tap.
Monday owner email
One short email on Monday with what you earned, what is unpaid, this week and quiet clients.
Electrical booking page
Share one link so a homeowner or builder picks a service call time and sends the request. The business confirms first, and there is no payment up front.
Review requests
One tap after a job to ask a client for a review. Each client is asked once at most.
Visit reports
Send a branded report after the work with the checklist you ticked, photos and the notes you choose to share.
Photos before and after
Keep before, after, panel label, data plate and defect photos on the job, not in a camera roll.
Documents and e-sign change orders
Keep the permit and documents on the job, and send a change order for a signature when the scope changes.
Works offline, then syncs
Open the app once and it keeps running with no bars. Permit notes, circuit rows, photos and job ticks save on the phone and sync when you are back online.
Say it, once per form
Tap Say it, talk through the job recap or the permit note, and the form fills. Check each field and save.
Setup checklist
A short checklist on Today takes you from sign up to your first client and first quote.
Drafts save as you type
A closed tab or a dead battery does not lose your work. The draft waits on the phone.
Delete a client
Remove a client and their visits, quotes, invoices and photos in one clear step.
CSV import and export
Import your client list from a spreadsheet, and download your clients, visits, quotes and invoices whenever you want.

What do electricians ask before they switch?
What is a good electrical business software?
A good electrical business software keeps the daily work in one place: clients, quotes, permits, service calls, panel schedules, invoices and payments. Electrical Made Easy is built for an owner operator, with an electrical service list you control, a permit and inspection tracker, a panel schedule builder, job checklists, branded invoices and tax on every invoice.
Is there an electrical permit tracker?
Yes. The permit and inspection tracker keeps the permit number, the authority having jurisdiction, the status, the submitted date, the inspection date, the result and the certificate of acceptance number on the job. You can switch the tool on or off for your business.
What is an electrical inspection checklist?
It is the list an electrician ticks before the work is signed off. Electrical Made Easy includes checklists for a panel upgrade, an EV charger install, a device or lighting install, troubleshooting, a rough-in and a safety inspection. Each task is written in plain words and stays on the visit.
Is there an electrician scheduling app?
Yes. Choose one time, weekly, every 2 weeks, every 3 or 4 weeks or monthly visits, keep the series right when a plan changes, and subscribe to your schedule in Apple, Google or Outlook calendar.
Is there an electrician invoicing app?
Yes. Send a branded invoice with your logo and colour, watch for sent, viewed and paid, and let the client pay from the document. Quotes get a link the client can open and accept too.
Can I quote a panel upgrade or EV charger from my own prices?
Yes. The service list has 19 services with a price unit and a starter price, including a 200A panel upgrade, a Level 2 EV charger, a whole home rewire and an electrical inspection. United States and Canada prices are separate where the research has both. Every starter price is editable, so the quote always uses your number.
